William Robert Russell

William Robert Russell, 39, of Dayton, Ky, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 29, 2023. 

​

William worked at US Playing Cards, where he was a forklift operator. Additionally, William was well known for his involvement in youth sports, where he coached baseball, basketball, and football, as well as volunteering for the Rose Garden Mission in Covington, KY. He was a wonderful father, who adored his children and truly enjoyed spending quality time with them.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sr. Ann Mary (Pamela Russell), and his father Thomas Russell.

William is survived by his fiancé, Priscilla Hensley; his children, Courtney, Arrianna, and Elijah; and his sister, Anna Virginia "Ginny" Russell.

 

He also leaves behind numerous additional family members and friends.

We want to send our prayers and condolences to the entire family of Coach Russell, as we all mourn the loss of a great coach, father, and man. "Big Will" started as a coach with Dayton Youth Football and was a huge part of us building the River City Ducks program. We will never be able to thank him or his family enough for his time with us, and appriciate all that he has done caring, teaching, and coaching our athletes. A true "player's coach", the kids all love him and will never forget him.
